How to use the What to Watch Wheel

Open the wheel and it will auto-load 6 TV shows from the 50-show pool. Choose your mode — Eliminate spins off one show per round until a winner survives, Single Spin gives you an instant answer, and Group Vote lets everyone weigh in before the wheel makes the final call.

If the spun result is a show you've already finished, just spin again. The wheel re-samples from the pool each time. You can also type in any show that isn't in the list and add it manually — useful for adding something you spotted on a streaming platform.

The pool includes shows from across streaming services and networks — Netflix, HBO, Apple TV+, Hulu, BBC, and beyond — so you won't be locked to one platform's catalogue.

Why you're stuck in the scroll loop

Streaming platforms are engineered to keep you browsing, not watching. Autoplay trailers, infinite scroll, and personalised recommendations create a low-grade anxiety that tricks you into thinking the perfect show is always just one more scroll away. It rarely is.

The wheel breaks the loop by making the decision for you. It forces a commitment in seconds rather than letting the browse extend into an hour of deliberation. The list you're spinning from is already curated — everything in the pool is worth watching — so there's no bad outcome.

What if we've seen everything on the wheel?

Clear the list and type in your own options — recent releases, shows you've been meaning to start, or titles a friend recommended. You can save your custom list in the wheel for next time. Alternatively, try the TV Shows guide for a broader pool of recommendations sorted by mood.
